An NHS. So public, I guess. It's comforting knowing that if I get run over or something, I wouldn't have to worry about needing thousands of pounds that I don't have to pay it.
Mfw my comment makes up more than half the thread!:D

I'll say the same thing I did to the last 5 people who said this. Read the rest of the thread before jumping to false accusations. If someone has a disability where they cannot support themselves then I'm ok with helping them. If they have any way of supporting themselves they should be mature enough to do so. Why should I work to support my family and I but you don't have to? You can just take my money.

"Households CANNOT use SNAP benefits to buy: Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes or tobacco Any nonfood items, such as: pet foods soaps, paper products household supplies Vitamins and medicines Food that will be eaten in the store Hot foods" Taken from your government's Department of Agriculture site so.....why are you outraged over something that isn't even possible?

由RIP Tuna Man™编辑: 2/9/2014 7:02:38 PMHave you read the rest of the thread? Or did you just read one thing and jump to conclusions? You did get one thing right though. I hate the idea of food stamps. People sitting on their ass eating food that I bought for them, while most of the time not even looking for a job. Sounds like 30 year old kids. Which is exactly what they are. Childish; think they just deserve what they're given.

Then we might as well not pay taxes and keep all of our money right? America had a national health service before it was privitised and cut off 50 million people from having healthcare. Guess what causes the most bankrupts in America? Healthcare bills. How many people have become bankrupt in the UK because of healthcare bills? Nobody. Everybody helps each other by paying into the pot that funds the NHS plus extra that gets put into the budget my government so like it or not you are helping fund the NHS. You also claim competition will lower prices.........have a look at the American system. Corporations inflate prices, insurance companies do one thing and one thing only, find any reason not to pay out and to raise the prices every time you make a claim. A persons life is not a car or house so shouldn't be treated as such, it cannot be replaced. If you are born with a condition then the chances are you cannot get health insurance while in the UK you get it no questions asked. You would rather watch people die apparently. Nothing you can say will look anymore selfish because the back bone of your arguments and people like is "It's my money". Pathetic.

Stop trying to make me look like the bad guy. I'll come out and say it. I care more about my family than any of you or myself. For all I care -blam!- you guys until my family is safe. I work so that they're ok. The same thing everyone should do. Your life is your responsibility. If you have a disability that makes you unable to support yourself that's different. While it should be the parents' responsibility to take care of them that's not always possible. They don't have the chance everyone else does. They need help.

由lonepaul2441编辑: 2/9/2014 6:58:55 PMBecause I would be funding yours. Share the load and everything is actually cheaper in the long run, it's like sharing a taxi with strangers going to the same street as you and you split the fare, everybody wins. Hell if you don't like it go private instead but don't deny the Universal healthcare system for millions of people just because YOU don't like the concept. The NHS is the main healthcare provider in the UK and we still have private hospital's and the NHS and Private hospitals work hand in hand to provide you with the cheapest and best healthcare possible. Either the NHS pays the bill to the private hospital when they send a patient to the hospital or the private hospital pays to use NHS resources when it requires it (Big surgeries for example are done in NHS run hospitals).
