I don't believe in gods. I believe in another high tech civilizations out there that has been mistaken with godhood or that have high tech that look god like.
That's my input.
The show is good, but sometimes over done it. I've seen the Mayan ruins, Aztec ruins, you can see UFO's drawn in their Mayan records, most of their gods are depicted to move in "god-like" vehicles.
Quectzatlcoatl (sorry if misspelled that one) it would be the counter part of Zeus in the Greek Mythology, but I've noticed that Quetzalcoatl means "feathered snake". According to some archeologists, when the ancient Aztecs meant with "feathered Snake" is the "snake" part means that was something large and "feathered" means that it could fly because, for the Aztecs, only birds could fly.
Tlaloc the god or goddess of water and rain, is depicted "living" in one of three Quetzalcoatls above in the sky. They are described as bright as the Sun and that's where their "Gods" used to live.
For me that sounds more like a high civilization beings interacting with humans.
Also note that most of the ancient gods like the Greek Gods, Norse Gods, Aztec/Mayan Gods, Indu gods, are always depicted by humans as teachers, always teaching us how to do things. For me sounds like they were more aliens than gods, teaching us how to do and create things.
