This is completely and utterly ridiculous. There isn't a deep meaning between Chief and Didact's relationship. The Didact is nothing more than a poorly-explained, Jedi reject, and the Master Chief is an emotional chatterbox. If anything, this only suggests that 343i is completely incompetent at telling stories with well-developed characters. Yet another failure from 343i.
You're welcome.

由Grey101编辑: 2/21/2014 7:51:38 PMThis was nearly a month ago. Seeing as he used certain words, in a certain way, which would mean a certain thing; there are clear meanings. Subtext=/=deeper meaning (in context). We have 1 ARG, over a dozen of terminals, and 3 Novels going into the Didact's character. There is more than enough information present to understand how things would be seen from his point of view. This analysis isn't even deep ,the word choices are so concise. I seriously cannot understand how you see any of this to be "deep".
Come then, warrior. Have your resolution.
Obvious.
You persist too long after your own defeat.
obvious
Where reason does not stop you, perhaps force can at least delay you.
obvious All of his lines are easily understandable, just because someone(an alien) uses vocabulary that so basic doesn't mean that the words aren't direct.

psst
Something like that. I like what 343i tried to do with the story, though I felt that the execution was off. I like that they developed and expanded Chief and Cortana's relationship. I took some issue with how aspects of the story required some knowledge of the EU, with very little in-game explanation. (So yeah, I suppose that counts as presentation) As for campaign gameplay...I'll get into that another time.
