I like the idea in digimon that everybody who is a digimon master is chosen, and gets there own digimon. Seems a lot more personal to me. Though pokemon has better games, but I think that's mostly a developer thing honestly.
Also, digimon would absolutely destroy pokemon. The only way pokemon could win is if they strapped gatling guns, swords, and nukes onto all their evolutions.

That's one of the things I like a lot about Digimon, that and the Digimon can all talk too. I definitely enjoy the story for the whole Digimon series more than I do Pokemon's. And yeah, I figured the game were probably better for Pokemon, though I've never played either series >_> Yeah, that, and size. Most of the Digimon are the size of large dinosaurs or small buildings when they've fully evolved, the giant sized Pokemon are fairly few and far between from what I remember, and most of the Pokemon that are large or otherwise massive are the rare ones like the Legendary Pokemon.
