You forget that The Traveler is the Death Star. It was crimped in fight with the republic and Darth Skywalker brought it to earth to heal, and the darkness attacking the Guardians (unknowingly sith apprentices) are Republic Droids and Aliens coming to finish the job, And the Fallen Captains with the swords are Padawans on there final mission to earn the lightsabers. Totally makes since if you don't think about it.
