My 360 RROD'd...
So I turned off my Xbox One because I had just completed AC4 and wanted to play some Halo. I connected my 360 to the TV, turned the thing on and BAM. Three red lines. This has happened to me before, but I quickly fixed it by unplugging it and plugging it back in. However, it's not working this time.
If anyone is able to give me any help (can't find anything on google that works) that doesn't involve a warranty (mine ran out last year) or taking the thing apart please do...

Unfortunately you can't really play any games on it right now because the optical drive is a bit broken. Needs to be fixed, but once that's done, she's good to go. She's a trooper that Xbox.

2 回复Which error code is it throwing and what do the lights tell you when you start the diagnostic mode? The x clamp repair kits are cheap and fairly easy to apply, but if its your GPU lifting then its game over unless you send it off to get the GPU reflowed.

5 回复Leave it unplugged for a few hours. If that doesn't work, then you can do the towel trick, which is only a temporary fix. If you have to do the latter, then do it until you can get a cheap one online.

2 回复It worked before because the previous was a full red ring which resembled power failure.

1 回复I wouldn't give up so quickly. Let it rest for a while, disconnect the Hard Drive and maybe open it up. Make sure the power supply is alright. Sometimes the damn thing is tricked into thinking it actually has RRoD.
