[spoiler]The giant spirit battle was cool but not what I wanted. I wanted the season to end with the Dark avatar temporarily defeated but not dead, then the third season could be about him stealing people to teach him the other elements and culminate in a real avatar battle! Plus, if unalok can turn into a giant evil spirit monster, why can't Korra turn into a giant good spirit monster on the reg?[/spoiler]

Yeah but korra made a big giant without raava, only while being in a time tree. I imagine if she had raava she should be able to do the same thing. Really I just would have preferred a cool dark avatar versus light battle instead of giant spirit monsters

I agree with you, I didn't really like the big monster clash thing I expected it once Vaatu transformed but didn't mean I liked it. I still can't explain the Cosmos version becoming a real thing like I said in the OP I understood it's role in The last airbender but not here.
