I'm a primarily PC gamer as well, and there's really no need to try this hard to master a control. The controllers are designed so anyone can pick them up and use them with relative ease. After a week or so of casual play I had a very firm grasp on controller fundamentals. The most notable difference between console an PC controls was the auto-aim. It's a very odd adjustment going from no auto-aim to having auto-aim.

  • You and I are not alike. What took you a week of casual play has not happened for me over the course of years of run ins with console shooters that I had for the sake of playing with friends. Controllers such as what I am using we're designed to comfortably play 3rd person games, but for me this isn't so for FPS. It isn't intuitive for me. I can't play by feel this way. Yes, the controllers fit in anyone's hands, but can their brains figure out what to do so quickly and comfortably? Performance depends on the brain as much as the fingers.

  • Good point. I played consoles frequently when I was younger, then moved to PC gaming. The early introduction to controllers may have made my adjustment BACK to consoles a bit easier.
