• I feel your pain. I'm on Verizon right now. I do love them, but only because there's coverage just about everywhere and they have fast data speeds, but Verizon is a very evil company. They even sell off your data to the NSA, with no questions asked. So all in all, again, Verizon is a very evil company. I may even be switching over to T-Mobile soon. I hope I'm able to. I'd much rather support a company who does and supports all of the right things, even if their coverage and whatnot isn't as good.

 • yeah Verizon has very good coverage (im usually one of the few able to get signal when on snowboarding trips) but damn it. all of my info to the NSA, -blam!- them. i get my internet through Verizon as well and they are shit-tier. i want to switch but i bought the droid 4... a year ago now so im going to wait for a while to get a new phone to switch companies.

 • I use Verizon for my Internet as well, and of course, they're the same with your data on that side, maybe even worse. All in all though, my experience with them hasn't been too shit, but then again I have the Fios plan that has 75 down and 35 up. :P But Verizon throttles (slows down) their customer's Internet on YouTube and Netflix (and probably other streaming sites), and that's no bueno. So if you're seeing any slow loading in YouTube, etc., that's why. I do have a word around for this: use a VPN. I'm using Hotspot Shield. It's free and does just what I want it to. If you leave Hotspot Shield running, all that data from your Internet browsing and whatnot cannot be seen by Verizon, unless Verizon buys the information from Hotspot Shield. They also have a mobile app, so I'd suggest to download it for Android as well. So if you're concerned about your privacy, this is the way to go.

As for switching companies, whatever phone you get should (for the most part) work on that other company. Of course you would have to make sure phone is compatible with the other companies frequency. if you want some more information on that, shoot me a PM.

 • oh i know they choke the internet speed. there are some days where i cant even get on B.net it moves so slow. Hotspot Shield sounds nice. When i buy phones i usually go into the store and demo the ones they have so picking one that is covered isnt a problem. thank you though.
