And obamacare just went into effect. Discuss how republicans decided to use American jobs as a bargaining chip to achieve their political agenda and now are responsible for the loss of jobs. I wonder if they 800000 people that's aren't getting paid will vote republican in 2016. Oh wait...they won't

20 回复由Quantum编辑: 10/1/2013 4:18:25 AMLet's review: -Obamacare passed both houses in the first term. -Obamacare was ruled constitutional by the Supreme Court. -Obamacare is supported by the majority of Americans. -Obama himself was reelected by a decent margin. -The constituents of Obamacare, the specific policies inside the bill have a large amount of support, even larger than the generalized bill itself. (This is how you know the whole scaremongering behind Obamacare is bullshit). TLDR: The GOP needs to get over Obamacare. On this basis alone, the Republican party is responsible for the shutdown. They have been soundly defeated on many fronts, and their refusal to accept defeat is the only reason why this shutdown is happening now.

3 回复由Valkyrie 497编辑: 10/2/2013 1:39:12 PMJust a little side note, my cousin is out of a job because of this bullshit. Why the hell can't our god damn government agree on -blam!-ing anything?! Just because my cousin's not an "essential" employee, she's no longer making any money and lives in Washington, D.C. Her apartment isn't gonna pay for itself! I mean seriously, what the -blam!-?! How does the government expect her to continue making payments on it? Oh wait, that's right. THEY DON'T GIVE A -blam!-!!!!

12 回复I'm not posting this in the sub-thread because people won't see his bullshit get unwrapped if I do. We've been over this you disinfo stupid shit. >Obamacare is supported by the majority of Americans FALSE: The majority of American do NOT support Obamacare >Obama himself won by a decent margin FALSE: Five million votes is only a big number if you live in hick town. Obama won on a whim. >TL;DR: The GOP needs to get over Obamacare Apparently the GOP is supposed to ignore their constituents when they complain about Obamacare and let it slide anyways. >The Republican Party is responsible for the shutdown. FALSE: Both parties are responsible for the shutdown, Obamacare has been canned by both parties and only brainwashed sheep still support it. It is equally the Democrats fault for sitting in a chair refusing to budge on a law that no one who is informed is supporting.

7 回复I'm an active soldier in combat medic training and I really couldn't care less. Obamacare is a joke and a scheme that will cost thousands of dollars just so that druggies can get more drugs. But honestly, everything is still open here, I'm still getting paid, and not even a single DoD cook here at our Dfac has less hours. The "shutdown" is a scare tactic. The government is still working, still inefficient, and still wasting money, at least here at Fort Sam AMEDD

1 回复Lets not forget how much both sides - but Democrats in particular - are spending more money that we don't have ( and continually getting us more in debt). Let's not forget the good old Dems tax us all more. Tell me, good Democrats, WHY would you want to vote for someone who would tax the SHIT out of you? This goes for Republicans too: WHY not vote moderate/independent/libertarian?

2 回复I think the shut down should affect congressional salaries. Lets see how fast they would act if that happened.
