Yeah, I really want a library.

a few good ideas have already been passed around but let me see...... barracks/apartments: Just a private place to collect yourself before you head out into the frontier. It can also be a place where you can store trophies, extra sets of armor, maybe even a pet if you can get THAT into a game. I get a feeling that your ship might also be used in such a manner but I like the idea of having your own place in the world. market/shops: (already given by Stefano) Just to add on what Stefano already had, places where you can buy literally anything you can think of, from weapons, ammo, armor, maybe even your ship. What if you had to pay an NPC to make modifications to your armor kind of like a mechanic? Maybe a shop for a new Raven? It's a market. It's bound to have what you are looking for SOMEWHERE. Library: Similar to what Dezarath was talking about though to be honest, I like his idea more but this a more simple version. Countless books have been saved and shelved in the Library. Maybe one random day you visit its halls to discover the beginning of an adventure that has a valuable legendary weapon at the end of it. cafeteria/food court: you character has to eat right? (unless you are an exo of course) Why not converse with your fire team over some food?

Range would be a nice. Maybe the arena for multiplayer would be in the city and it could be using the same basis as halo 4 multiplayer. PLEASE oh please! include forge. I really want to play remakes of halo maps by good forges.

So far alot of things are private for yourself or open to everyone, I say we need clan houses for you can your buddies just to go hang out, maybe some place you can customize alittle bit with banners or other things.

Id like to see a open college campus with NPC professors giving out lessons that are actually clues or quests that lead to Exotic weapons.

The "slums". The far back corner of the city that is made up of makeshift housing, tents, and seedy pubs. Or if the City has an ocean view. A port where you can meet up at a sailor's dive-bar and stare at the ocean.
