The Greatest Rock Band of All Time?
Personally I've got to give it to the Jimi Hendrix Experience for creating some of the best music and influencing some of the greatest rock bands of all time.

1 回复I have to say Led Zeppelin. But there are so many great ones! I'm going to put Iron Maiden up there too, especially since I'm seeing them in concert in a few days!

12 回复Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of experienced guitarists who have seriously studied Jimi Hendrix would tell you that he is most certainly not the best guitarist in the world. He's definitely very very good, but he certainly wasn't the best. There's a fine distinction that must be made. The reason why he was so famous is because he did things with the guitar that nobody had ever done before. He defined what modern rock is today. Not because he was the best guitarist in the world, but because he was arguably the most radical with what he did.

For me Elvis really took the black folk song and made it popular. Rolling Stones did it for the blues. Rush for Prog etc. For me the most successfull were the beatles. Greatest well led zeppelin or queen or who else not sure. Its debatable.
