Wait.... so you're b*tching because Bungie chose to use the bottom triggers as triggers? I'm confused.
That's the whole reason Playstation redesigned their controllers for PS4. They realized they were being silly and Xbox had it right to begin with. So the L2/R2 buttons will soon become proper triggers, like they should have been from the start.

It matters. Alot. If you grew up playing using a certain control scheme, your muscle memory is trained and comfortable using the top buttons. I've had an Xbox 360 for a year and I still favor the feel of a PS3 controller and control scheme. It matters for accuracy, speed, control and just comfort.

I suppose your argument has a leg to stand on. My advice, adapt I guess. I'm a southpaw and still manage to play games that don't offer it as an option. I'm also about to jump ship to PS4. So you and I both will be retraining our hands to some extent. More likely than not Bungie will offer a few different layouts.
