I think the the number of episodes contributed to the rushing. If it would've had around twenty or so I think we would've been in a much better shape.

Some things were so dumb too... Bending tournament? That was dumb.. it was just a filler excuse to make action shots... They didn't have much... instead of fleshing things out, they were putting in unnecessary filler to give you connections to characters nobody really cared about. I still don't care about those two brothers, i like the squirrel/weasley though, and i remember the cabbage guys ancestor more than i do the main antagonist... See i just forgot his name... Amon, there it is, after googling it for 30 seconds i remembered his name... :/

Amon was an amazing antagonist, wtf. Way more memorable than Ozai.

Ozai felt like a final boss, you can smell his dickishness and evil from a mile away. How he corrupted his family, how he corrupted entire continents, how he would destroy all who stand in his way to get power. That's a bad dude/villian, not a dude who wants the people to stand up for what is right, he wasn't a antagonist, he is a badly written anti-hero at best. His death was handled horribly and was rushed, and ozai had a proper intro, background, climax, and ending. Amon nailed his intro, his background was non-existent except from the little montage with his brother, from what i don't remember from his fight with korra i can say it might've been cool looking, but not nearly as epic as ozai shooting comets at aang, and his death was horrible. It just was. This is me speaking about avatar having not watched it since the original air-date with no read references, i'm just going off the top of my head. And i can remember ozai much much better even though i probably watched LOK a couple of years after the last time i watched the original Avatar.
