I don't get it. We post when ONE girl gets killed by her psycho dad when he's Muslim. Nobody gives a flying -blam!- when genocide is happening on Muslims. Raisons why this probably went ignored:
>Are they white? NOPE
>Are they Arabs living in a country with oil and/or Palestinians? NOPE
>Then why should we care?
I hate it. I -blam!-ing hate it when shit like this happens. When we've (read: media) has demonized a group of people to the point that people don't care of their suffering. When we've stereotyped Buddhists to be uber-peaceful, when in fact, they're human just like the -blam!-ing rest of us. They can go ape-shit just like the Crusaders, just like the Radical Jihadists, just like Mao, Hitler, etc.
I was going to continue ranting...but meh, it was going to be incoherent lol. I just finished 100 (seriously, literally 100) problems for my Calculus III class. 6 回复I dont see why you people are surprised by this. There are such things as secular Buddhists, just like secular Christians, secular Jews, ect. I fought many secular Jews during the war. Just because someone chooses a religion doesn't mean they are committed to it.

2 回复We're so caught up with labeling people. "Buddhists are doing this... Muslims are doing that. Americans do this. Kenyans do that. Gay people are like this. Christians hate that." Stereotyping is dumb, but it's infectious. Even here on Bungie, you look at the most prominent social justice advocates who speak for equality, but they use stereotypes that are equally as ridiculous as those they are fighting to repel. A proper headline would be "Killings in Myanmar targeted towards Muslims" or something of the like.

3 回复Haha, go to Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, or any other nation, and Christians and Buddhists are slaughtered by Muslims. The media reports on exceptions, and Muslims being attacked is the exception.
