If Destiny was the first console subcription based MMO would you buy it? You would have to buy the retail copy for 60 and a 15 dollar a month subscription to play.

1 回复Sure. Especially if a monthly subscription would be chosen over microtransactions, if they ever had to decide between the two. And to my knowledge, Destiny wouldn't be the first console MMO(if you would like to call it an MMO), Phantasy Star Online, Monster Hunter Frontier, and a Final Fantasy game. There were also some MMO subscription based games on the PS2, but I can't recall them.

I.... Honestly don't know. I'd have to think about it. There was a time when I had two MMO subscriptions along with the Xbox Live subscription, but I don't know how willing I'd be to do something like that nowadays. Side Note; Final Fantasy XI was a subscription based MMO for consoles. It was also, interestingly enough, cross-console.

The game would have to be really amazing. I mean like Halo 3 multiplayer addictive amazing where I couldn't stop playing it for 3+ years for me to even consider a subscription. I doubt they will and still hoping for a pc version too.

I'd buy the game either way, no matter what the extra charges my be. From what I read in April's Gameinformer issue 240:
Bungie didn't talk about microtransactions, or even the initial cost of the game, but was quick to establish that although the game will not be free to play, it won't require a monthly fee.
