Violence wise there is nothing there really. Crossbows and throatcutting? meh.
The real shock for people came from watching their favourite characters for 3+ years get torn apart by Filch. I didn't see it coming, and I'm a bit :s since I was catching up in the books towards storm of swords. But after the whole WTF No! I just want to see what happens next.
Although killing his wife was a bit... Pushing it imo changing the books to make it more shocking at the wedding...

Mr's Norris was avenged.. I agree in that this was more shocking because of the emotional attachments people had the charecters. I think these newspaper confused this with outrage because how disgusting it was. The only thing that was shocking was the baby stabbing thing which I forsee a hole lot of trouble coming the producers way, for having that scene.

Unfortunately if people do find something credible in that, I wont be, as it could potentially damage the series reputation and therefore, it's budget on later seasons. And we know by now that the actors are good, but theirs a whole lot of magic shit coming their way and its gonna need some heavy $$$$ to get those dragons looking nice and shiny..

Yeah, hopefully this get brushed over really. The show itself is great, and the emotional outcry/rage from the wedding shows how attached people were to the characters, I think that people will want to find out what happens next either in the books or show.
