That title can be read in two ways, one of which is hilarious.

I'm pretty sure that if Russia started arming Cuba with missiles that we would not be okay with it. I don't see the problem with this.

Whilst it is a ridiculous claim by Israel, they do have an important point. The S-300 is very advanced technology, coming only really second to it's new derivative, the S-400. While Syria arguably has the right to defend itself against Israeli airstrikes, it definitely does not need these systems. More than that, if you throw such systems into such an unstable nation, they're going to wind up in the hands of the worst imaginable groups. From there, they'll likely be sold to neighbouring nations for more immediately useful tech; the technology would likely wind up in the hands of Iran, militant groups, etc. The only real positive to selling them to Syria is that it means that systems like the F-35 and Next Generation Bomber, etc will be justified.

You don't mess with a Russian...that is all.

Meh. The Syrian conflict literally has no good side, except the civilians. They suffer the most, unfortunately.

My only hope is that Israel is wiped off the face of the Earth before they can fall back on the Samson plan.

Giving these systems to the Syrians, and risking it falling into the hands of Hamas and Hezbollah, will result in the current distribution of power being threatened. This in turn undermines Israeli national security, which banks on the status quo being maintained. Of course, it also threatens the national securities of every nation in the region and even countries around the world. The position of Israel has always been that if they believe weapons capable of shifting the balance of power are falling into the hands of terrorist organizations, they will pre-emptively strike in order to prevent such transactions from occurring. Most likely, they'll target the missiles when they are en route to their destination via convoy. You know, like they did last time. Giving Syria anything with a warhead on it is asking for trouble, they have already killed refugees in Turkey which is a gross violation of borders.

Surely Russia are partially to blame as well for saying they'll arm Syria.

What world peace? There hasn't been any of that in a loooooonnnng time.
