Does it worry you that these Drone Strikes are now Judge, Jury, and Executioner? Even though you're in another country it doesn't mean you lose your rights. They had the RIGHT to a fair trial, we see the Muslim name and then we assume they're foreign. Even when commiting treason, YOU NEED A TRIAL.

1 回复Will anyone get in trouble if they turn out to be completely innocent? Who would it be? It seems like the death sentence, but there isn't a trial for people to go "Yeah, drone strike them, they're bad" or "No, get more evidence first/ No, they're innocent" They really should have a more official (and perhaps more transparent?) way for this to go about.

The point, since no one got it, is that the US Government, or agents of the US Government acted like they were above the due process guaranteed these citizens. No one, Arab or otherwise, should be executed without the benefit of a trial. We claim to be a nation of laws, but allow our government to behave like it is above them.

I'm not all that bothered by it. Why? Just because they're "american" doesn't mean I have to give a crap. There are tons of people in america that I love and hate. These people killed aren't my brothers or sisters or anything.

6 回复Your source fails to mention that only Awlaki was targeted and that the other three weren't targeted only collateral. Is it still wrong? Yes. But so is bending the truth to make it seems like all four were targeted.

3 回复A drone strike isn't the "judge, jury and executioner" It could as easily be a sniper. What is the difference if you are killed by a hellfire launched from a Predator, or if your head is taken off by a .50 cal from a Barrett? I don't understand why drone are the problem. The problem is the CIA and NSA given carte blanche to do what they want in the name of Nation Security, and no one being able to call them out on it. People like you, OP, confuse the issue. You make it about drones when it should be about accountability. They could have used any number of means to kill those men. No matter the method, they would have been just as dead.
