You could always go the dark and upbeat route like Pumped Up Kicks. I don't know what style you are making music in, but since you are good at the deeper, thoughtful stuff that may be the way to go.

That's something i haven't considered, and a really good idea. Thanks man! The main problem being i don't think to many dark thoughts anymore, so i'll still have to dig around for inspiration :P I haven't listened to that song in forever. I'll give it a few shots tomorrow and see if it gives me any ideas.
