3) Not backwards compatible. I fail to see why they can't add this in. And for the people saying "Oh, it's because the Nextbox will run an x86 based CPU whereas the Xbox 360 ran an ARM-based CPU" your argument is invalid. The Original Xbox had an x86 CPU (in fact it was a toned-down Pentium 4 used in the Original Xbox), and when the Xbox 360 came around, it could run Original Xbox games just fine. So why aren't we getting backwards compatibility now? This part also applies to the PS4.
Unfortunately, this is not quite the truth. Xbox 360 ran SOME original Xbox games using a software emulator specifically written for the most popular Xbox games, such as Halo and the first couple of Call of Duty games. It did not run ALL original Xbox games.
I can't opine any further on this, but just wanted to point this out.
Emulation isn't the pricey part. Having the hardware/software to run all previous 360 games is the expensive part. That's why they chose to go with emulation for the original xbox games on the 360 and it causes problems such as Halo 2's ghosting.
