Implying I'm not going to use ALL of my money to give me and my family the best life they can have, use it all to feed them and give them a roof over their heads, to send each of my kids to the college of their choice and keep me alive when I don't have a job and I retire. Yup that's right, my old dying ass is not going to rely on the government or anybody else to keep me alive. I do not see the problem here. I won't have any extra money and I'm not being selfish.

由halo编辑: 4/7/2013 9:39:26 PMI don't see the problem in not wanting to pay for somebody else's things. I would NEVER expect or even want other people to pay for my stuff. You born in 1998? I'm not going to let some 14 year old sonic fan tell me I'm an idiot when they really have no idea how the world works.

Give me one reason why I am an idiot, or why letting the government make me do anything is being an idiot. I would be more inclined to pay the tax if it were optional. It's not that I don't want to help people out or that I'm selfish. I am just a random guy who believes in liberty and freedom, just some of the principles this country was founded on. I donate money all the time, I tip generously, I help people out when I can, I do these things because I WANT TO. Not because anybody makes me, and I would HATE helping people out if it were because I was commanded to. I'm sorry I am one of the few Americans that actually stand for freedom these days.

That's a person paying for a child that is their responsibility. I would not have a child if I could not afford to. I would not want other people to pay for my child's needs. It however, is not my responsibility to pay for somebody else's needs. Of course I would be happy to donate to a charity, I would gladly give a homeless person some money, or help my friends during difficult times. But I will not allow the government to mandatorily take my money away from me and distribute it across the population.

meh, i wouldn't care I say it's just helping out my country. Why would I be opposed to helping saving someone's life? if I pay some taxes and it means that people that could never afford their medical bills get the treatment they need i'm all for it. Karma's a bitch man, next thing you know it's you in the hospital bed for some reason and you can't afford your treatment.

THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. I am not against helping people, I am against the government making me do that. It's not the government's business to do these things. I stand for liberty, and freedom, I would gladly help people out, but I am STRONGLY against the government controlling my life and making me do these things. I do not care if it's an optional thing, I would actually be more inclined to do pay the extra tax if it were optional. It's the fact that it would be mandatory that makes it against the principles of freedom and liberty, the very morals that this country was founded on. I help people whenever I can, I am one of the least selfish people. I just do not believe in the government controlling me.
