none I can think of. All negative and takes power away from players to play single player games offline whenever they want.

I found in the first few years of having Xbox Live that I actually missed the speciality of playing a game like Halo 2 in a split-screen fashion. I mean...I had to do ALOT of convincing at times to get all my siblings in one room to play a game of Slayer on Headlong. Now, it's too easy to hit up a few XBL friends you met in like 5 minutes and play a round of Slayer on a map you've played 40 times in the same day. Offline gaming is...special in its own way.
