由God编辑: 4/5/2013 8:11:56 PMI think it's dumb to be proud/ashamed of anything one has no conscious control over, people should be judged by their achievements and character. Race/gender/whatever does play a part in shaping character, but not a large enough one to really mean anything. The only time I think it's valid to think that way is when the group in question is actively oppressed and so adopts that attitude as a form of retaliation. But once the stigma goes away there is no reason for it.

6 回复These days it might as well be illegal to be white. White males are the most discriminated against demographic on the planet, it's even worse if your a British white male.
-
9 回复I am too. Its pretty messed up that in our culture you can openly be proud to be black, latino, gay, or lesbian. But you cant be proud to be white and straight. Pretty stupid.
-
Nobody should be proud or upset over their colour of skin. One thing people should be proud of, is what they achieved in life. Like getting a job or winning a sport tournament. And no, achieving a colour of your skin that you want, is not it.
-
2 回复It's not wrong per se, it's just pretty pointless. You didn't achieve being white, nor did you put any effort in, so why would you be proud?

2 回复由halo编辑: 4/4/2013 3:24:50 PMWhat delta said. I don't see the point in being proud of your skin color. Just seems arbitrary, I mean what are you proud of exactly.
-
3 回复Ughh...there's no reason to be proud. Unless you are proud of your culture and interested in it or you have achieved something specifically related to being white. Other than that your probably just racist.

1 回复What's to be proud of? It's not an accomplishment. You didn't choose it. You didn't invent 'being white.' And even if you had, there's literally no differences between skin pigmentation other than the visual.
