the only thing that actually gives you energy in an energy drink, is the caffein, which is about the same ammount as a cup of coffee.
so they are more drink than energy.
They are pretty much just soda that is branded and advertised at teenagers to make them feel like they are drinking some kind of mature and adult serious-business type of drink.

Honestly, energy drinks aren't all that special. I barely even drink them. Whenever I have my friends over, they usually bring over Monster, and that's the only time I drink it...cause I don't wanna waste money on it. The only reason why I bought a 5 Hour Energy today is because I thought it would work...but it didn't.
