Just about anybody who has a basic understanding of science knows that Watson and Crick only determined DNA's structure. But nice idea for a thread! Reminds me of my Medicine threads, which reminds me I need to make one for today.

I'm surprised to see how many people who understand scientific principles do not know the history very well. Unfortunately, some names that deserve to be recognized are forgotten in the sea of history while others who are recognized do not deserve it more than those forgotten. Of course, Watson and Crick deserved the recognition (and Nobel Prize) for their discovery.
