So, several players have voiced upset at the probable lack of being able to play as a non-human character.
I'm quite confused by this... So to those people, I have some questions;
Would you want to play through the campaign as another race? Or would this be in PvP scenarios only?
If the campaign, would you want to play as another race, trying to save humanity? Or would you be playing against the human players?

Maybe people are tried of playing as humans in real life. Some folks are everyday trying to save humanity and need an out from the every day. The best part of a game is that it isn't real, there are no real life altering decisions in game. Unless you decided to skip work/school to play, but that is a different discussion. I think that we are all to be the Guardians, and that people wanting to play as a non human will need to pick up a copy of WoW. But I can see a person's want to play something different other than a human. Besides to the people that are trying to save humanity, hopefully you don't get so frustrated. When you try to fix something, and it keeps breaking, eventually you want to throw it away and start fresh. Does the name Noah ring any bells?

Instead of Races - you could get a modifier like in Mass Effect, - Sole Survivor, War Hero, or Earthborn- whatever they were.... I care less about being a different race and more about being different than the other players... I'm going to be pissed if I put 4 months into the game as a hunter and everyone else who picked hunter and is 4 months into the game has the same armor, gun and play style as I do... ugh.

5 回复I want to see them in multiplayer mostly since story mode seems to be about the guardians. Against the human players is what is interesting. Think back to playing as Arbiter in Halo 2 before the brutes spilled the blood. Campaigns would be cool for them as well. I still dont understand the factions. Are you sure they are all human?

1 回复The emphasis on player customization and diversity is based on classes and gear, based on what I've heard. We're all human 'guardians' because that's what the story calls for. Nothing to get upset about in my opinion. I haven't seen anybody else get upset about it either so... yeah. This thread surprised me.

1 回复I'm guessing people would want to play as another race for the diversity mostly, and I'm guessing that they would want it in both campaign and multiplayer. Then again, nowhere in the reveal has it eluded in the slightest that you could potentially play other races. I think this would create too much heartache on Bungie's part, and it's not what they are aiming for with this game. I'm glad people want diversity and all but face the facts, You are a guardian. You are a human. Get over it. There is still plenty of room for diversity within a race.
