Being undecided is like being single. Your friends will try to hook you up with a partner, who in all reality is not your type at all, and may well be into weirder things than you had anticipated. Is no fun, I assure you. Atheism, literally, is a (non) theistic (religious). Our cultural connotations wreck the word, but it remains the best way to inform others that you are not interested in worshipping a faceless deity, or an anglo-saxonized caricature nailed to a cross.
