I think I speak on behalf of A LOT of Bungie fans when I say there NEEDS to be a PC port for Destiny. After Bungie finished the Halo series I moved onto Pc gaming and this game NEEDS to be a PC game considering it has MMO elements or maybe just a straight up MMOFPS. Steam Workshop would make this game SO amazing! I really hope Bungie reads their forums(Unlike 343i) and sees this! Please don't let me down Bungie. It would hurt my heart not to play Destiny!

1 回复Before this "Bungie.next" launched it was fairly well known that there would be a PC release one year after the console release. This is likely to be becasue of piracy.

Personally I started on Xbox with Halo CE and I really really loved consoles. That being said, now that i am older ive started playing on the PC alot more and barely touch my xbox and was quite dissapointed to hear that it wasnt going to be released for PC (atleast at the same time as xbox and ps). Ill still play and enjoy the game, I just really am enjoying pc gaming more.

4 回复It's one thing to tweak a gameplay mechanic. It's another to put a shit ton of resources into doing an entire port to a different platform during development. I'm getting the impression that a lot of the games design with the whole, "always connected" FPS were designed with consoles in mind. Get it for one of those and enjoy the hell out of it. Yeah PC master race types will be unhappy with it but they've been unhappy with Halo stealing the FPS spotlight for consoles for over 10 years now.

2 回复Still waiting for Halo Reach on the PC, which Bungie was supposedly working with Microsoft Game Studios on in 2010.

This is a giant "-blam!- you" to anyone who doesn't want to buy into the next console shitfest. Yeah, so -blam!- you too, Bungie. I am not buying another console for your game. Though I suppose I should thank them, it gives me one less game to follow and get excited about.

1 回复I agree with you that there should be a PC release but I hope they don't rush this port to the PC and it sucks. So take all the time you need bungie I'm sure we can wait for excellent PC port.

NEEDS, is an exaggeration, if no one is going to DIE without it, then it's not a NEED and using that vernacular only makes makes you sound like an entitled child. I agree that it would be amazing on PC, I own all the consoles but I never play on any of them anymore so I have no plans to buy the new ones either. So if they want my money then they had better bring it to PC but no one's gonna die if they don't. They will make less money, and we will spend our money/time playing other games, but that's about it as far as consequences go. As for waiting years for it to come out on pc? Yeah right, if that's your plan don't even bother Bungie, I'm sick to death of getting Bullshitted by companies like this.

2 回复My computer barely can handles SC2, it's the right move to stay in the console industry, even though I wanted this on pc, I support Bungie with their idea. Plus they have more control of their new universe in this way.

2 回复I feel bad for those who were really hoping for PC, but Bungie is a Console Shooter company from what I've heard on the IGN live stream. I guarantee there will be no Destiny for PC players.

8 回复Correct me if I'm wrong... But I don't believe Bungie themselves have ever worked on a PC, they worked on Macs then the Xbox for Halo, all the PC versions were ported by other compaines... I'm just saying, I wasn't surprised, they're branching out as it is working multiplatform, making it 3 platforms would slow them down, so the only option would be to get another studio to handle the port and has that ever gone well? Ever?

3 回复And what if that PC version was held back by the fact that this game is also being made for consoles?
-
2 回复I agree. Seven year old consoles are not the best release platforms for a brand new experience.

We'll have to see how they play this out... I'd personally like to see PC, PS3, and 360 gamers all playing together, but it might not be practical. I don't claim to know much about making these games but I would think that all three platforms for playing this game have proprietary coding and that it might be impossible to mix everything. I've seen PC and 360 players playing together in Shadowrun, but I don't know of any other games that have done anything like that.
