For the past 2 days, an anti-abortion group has set up shop in front of my Library on campus and erected massive banners that show aborted children and frankly disgusting images. Sign were also put up saying "warning: pictures of genocide". The pictures are so big though, they can't be avoided. They are also almost in front of the library so seeing them is going to happen.
Frankly I am upset, how disrespectful it is to everyone else as the post these massive banners and harass kids about how abortion is evil. Then you have other college kids who want to antagonize them by handing out condoms to people.
In the end the entire thing is stupid and a cluster-blam- as all these idiots fight together and I have been forced to walk past it several times a day while I do work in the lab.
Should people really be allowed to post these NSFW banners (like 15 feet tall)? The pictures were very graphic and would make you want to barf (hence why I will not post any).

2 回复由RIP delta编辑: 2/15/2013 12:11:28 AMThe main irritant is that they call it 'genocide' recklessly, y'know unless they're implying its to keep the blacks down

2 回复Great idea... Sweep the reality of abortion under the rug. However, we should talk about slavery as much as possible, the holocaust, murder, -blam!-. on and on... NO, but not abortion.

I went to tour a school witha friend in the fall, and all around the main building there were pictures of the bodies of aborted babies. I dont care whether you're pro life or choice, that's nasty and doesnt need to be on public display. They were nasty. Like little gooey disembodies arms and feet.

2 回复In my experience any problem caused by one banner can be solved by another. Make a GIGANTIC banner with a trollface on it and place it in front of them. Then you are protesting their protest and they can do nothing to stop you without looking like hypocrites.

1 回复There's a church near where I go to college, and they put up crosses to symbolize how many children are "killed" by abortion. The display is directly across the street from an elementary school. I don't really think that's appropriate (if it was a pro-choice display I'd feel the same way), but it's their right to have it.

2 回复If I were you, I'd -blam!-ing box the head of 'em. Wouldn't happen here in Ireland, I'll tell ya that much, just -blam!-ing beat the shite out of them and burn their -blam!-ing posters.

2 回复Just tell the administration that the way they've chosen to conduct their protest (at a university for some reason)is not conducive to a proper scholarly environment.

3 回复Here's a question (based off appearance that you support abortion, I am going to assume that you are a liberal): So if you are a liberal, then why are you afraid of the freedom of speech? It is quite a contradiction if you ask me...

2 回复You should complain to the college higher-ups, something about how it interferes with your learning and such, that might make the college reconsider letting up-starts us a public campus for their political messages.
