Jason Jones seems like a very humble person. He could of been as big (if not bigger) than Gabe Newell, but he is shrouded in mystery and secrecy by choice and I think is what sets him apart from other big game developers.
All the things he could say about the game industry and insight he could give would be amazing considering how he has helped to create on of the most successful game studios in the world.

It was that Polygon article. He's a "communist." He thinks that all of the games equally rely on everyone at the studio, not just him, so he stays out of things. In the "Making of Halo 2" Video he said that sometimes he's "almost resentful" about how Marty has such a profound effect on their games, that it's a really lopsided balance of power when it comes to him.

But it was sooooo worth it! I made my first ever trip to Bungie the day before the article was released, and I saw Marty O Donnell there and had a semi-contained freak-out. He seemed like he was almost put off by it, but he did stop to chat for a minute, so I ignored what I had picked up. After reading the article though, when it talks about his celebrity status, I could totally see how he might have been thinking "Great, another one of these guys." But whatever...bungie is freakin' crazy cool...

True enough. It wasn't a total freakout, it probably sounded more like nervous rambling, but I did feel fortunate to tell him how much his work meant to me. The lobby, where they keep all of their trophies, is open to the public. Jerome guards the gate with his laser vision and bear arms, but anyone can go in and walk around. The Bungie Theatre is also downstairs, but off-limits. Upstairs area is totally off-limits though, and sealed shut, which is where all the development happens.
