Activision earnings call, might have Destiny?
At 1:30 PST, (and 4:30 EST) the Activision earnings call is happening. And as we all know, Bungie is now in a partnership with Activision, and during these calls, upcoming games are usually mentioned.
Of course the majority of the call will be related to CoD, Blizzard's IPs, and Skylanders, but as Destiny is much anticipated, I think they may mention it, even just in passing. So in just a little over half-an-hour, we may know just a little bit more regarding Destiny!
Edit:
Well all in all, here's the TLDR of any Destiny information;
- Plans to be genre defining.
- No release date at this time.
- Apparently they plan to market it reasonably well.
- It's one of their focus' for the year.
Sorry if it's not anything new, but hey! Some news is better than no news!

4 回复So, after listening to the earnings report, would you invest? Despite the economic climate, I would put activision down as a long term buy. I figure that by this time this year, Activision/Blizzard with be 18+ with .20+ dividends.

1 回复Well someone just asked about what their idea is with launching conflicting genres, regarding Bungie's IP and Call of Duty. So hopefully we'll hear something.

They're talking about it right now. They don't have a launch date at the moment, they look forward to sharing more news about it in the future. It's set to be genre defining, and they plan to be marketing it rather heavily. (I think.)

2 回复Well it was just mentioned, along with Call of Duty China, saying that both will, (not word for word) "revolutionize their respective categories".

2 回复Doubtful. These things happen quarterly and are generally look back, not ahead. That said, sometimes things slip out but it's rare, and given that Destiny's release is still probably 2-3 quarters away, I doubt we'll hear anything this time.
