I've been thinking about this lately... Given that we can also filter based on [i]when[/i] the topic was created, does it not make sense to weight recent threads less heavily? When all four tme filters give more-or-less the ssame results, it doesn't add a lot of value. Personally, I really am interested in what topic has been the most popular of all time. If I find that view to be too stagnant with aold topics, I can simply filter on a shorter duration.

If it's popular, people are probably posting in it fairly frequently. Again, this stands to reason. I'm still not seeing your point.
