It's not much to ask for people to at least be tolerant of each other. That's the whole point, and something that the new rules completely threw out the window. As if they were enforced much anyway. It amazes me how much you're all opposed to simply being nice to each other, especially when someone points it out. I don't blame Jay in the slightest for trying to actually do something admirable in this shit hole. If being total douchebags is something that this "community" prides itself on being, then I don't want any part of it. Don't be surprised when people call you out for being a dick and then take offence when you say you don't care and it's the other person's fault that you can't at least be somewhat respectful.
