I want to ask pro-choicers a question. Should [url=http://www.mayoclinic.com/images/image_popup/mcdc7_position_for_birth.jpg]this[/url] baby be eligible for abortion? I mean why not, it hasn't been born yet right?

My biggest problem with abortion is that I feel there are too many other viable options to justify it. There are thousands of couple who can't conceive and would give anything to have that child in the womb. The biggest thing, however, is that to me its just the refusal to accept responsibility for their actions. You made a mistake, you didn't use birth control/condoms/morning after pill, and you got pregnant, now live with your actions. To deny another human being the right to a chance at life is just to put it plainly, cruel. You could be denying someone a best friend, a husband/wife, denying the world a great leader or scientist, but you're not thinking of the human being or what effect its life might have on people wether it be small scale or global, you're only thinking of yourself "my body" "my right" "my life", in my opinion, that "my, mine, me" turns into "our, ours, and us" at pregnancy. I've talked to mothers who got pregnant at 15 telling me that their kids were the best thing to ever happen to them. I've known gang members, street thugs who've looked at the thought of abortion with disgust. Just that a mother can so easily murder her child because she doesn't want it is just too much for them to swallow. To deny life to another human being simply because you don't want to go through with the pregnancy is not only unethical, its malicious.

Also, to everyone who says that fetuses, embryos, and other unborn things are humans and/or have human rights, I present to you: the 14th amendment. Specifically Section 1. [quote]Section 1. However, in the constitution, you don't get those rights unless you're born or naturalized (here). Therefore, anyone crying for anti-abortion reform is also crying for amending the 14th amendment.

I think the fact that people are ok with that about 3000 unborn children are aborted every day shows how low society has gone.

1) Someone has to be able to speak for the unborn child. They have rights too. 2) Right to human life. 3) This is like the war on drugs, never going to be able to permanently stop.

-A woman's "own" body? Nope, they're killing a human being. Has much more to do with the person growing inside her, not just "her" body. -Wrong. Murder isn't "subjective." -You're right... We should just throw-up our hands and "let it happen." Just like with stealing, -blam!-, drugs.. on and on. I mean, people are going to do it anyways, right?

Becuase millions of abortions would happen illegally, right? Hell, the mother also has a chance to die from an abortion today because the practices have never changed. Nothing like sucking the baby apart with a tube and then scraping around the uterine walls to get out what's left, right?

How [b]DARE[/b] you tell me to be ashamed of being pro-life? The only people who should be ashamed are those pro-MURDER people, like you. Abortion should be illegal, and pro-choice people should not be allowed in politics.

IMO, Abortion should only be considered if it's a life and death scenario. (i.e Mother will potentially die from giving birth, the baby will die shortly after birth, the baby has a life-threatening defect, etc.)
