I view the Bungie board as a spiritual successor to the Universe board, and the Gaming one as a spot to solely discuss vidya games. As for Community, just a space to bounce ideas off of other people as to the direction of Bungie.next.

Wasnt the Universe forum already just a more specific video game forum though? Now that Bungie no longer owns Halo, i doubt the forum is intended to discuss the extended lore of the universe that came from books and such. Unless i never got the point of the old Universe forum. Wasn't it basically for discussing Bungie games that didn't fit in their specific forums?

It sort of was. It was a place to discuss anything and everything Bungie related, but it didn't have to do with[i] gameplay[/i], it was more a place to talk about the characters, events, and future/past of the stories. Sure you talked about the[i] games[/i], but it was more what they were[i] about[/i]. Know what I mean :S?
