At the moment I'm working with python to get a handle on the basic concepts and I've already written a part of a simple game, though I'm trying to rewrite it with better coding practice.
What are you working on?

I am working on an NSA-esque Intelligence collection tool for collecting intelligence in EvE Online. this allows you to collect intelligence on people / corporations. I can enter one name, then another. And my tool will search for an association between those 2 people. It will also pull all kinds of other info, the target's frequented areas, last known location, corporate info. The works.

2 回复I really need to get working on finding a web job. I had an "interview" last June with a company in Raleigh but i never heard back from the HR person whom I briefly talked with via email. He was supposed to call me for the interview but never did. I called and spoke with several people who would pass my message to him but I never heard anything. Since then I've been really bumped out. I can't really find anything to motivate me. 95% of the jobs in my area all want 5+ years of experience with .NET, which I don't know. Then there's this local web company who I met the owner. He's interested in contracting me into his company but it's been about 4 months since we began talking and I still haven't gotten any work. I really need to decide what back-end language I want to focus on. PHP is everywhere but it's not the greatest on the other hand python is pretty cool. I also need to brush up on HTML 5 and CSS3.

2 回复由Mythoclast编辑: 1/14/2013 12:03:48 AMVB.net right now. I don't really like it. The whole exceptions class deal is kind of weird and I don't like it. I want to learn Java, C#, C++, and Objective C. But I'm going to go to college for that so....

6 回复I wouldn't call it "programming", but I just finished creating an ODST themed Rainmeter skin for my desktop! Rainmeter uses a very simple scripting language to pull off some cool stuff. I usually work with C++ and Java at school though. I also have some experience with HTML and CSS.

由Specops115编辑: 1/11/2013 11:29:10 PMJust finished up that game (Still got a few bugs around but its playable). It requires Unity web player in case anyone checks it out. Will be picking back up a project I started a while ago in XNA now that that is finished. And a bunch of less interesting stuff with medical records as part of my research. Languages are mostly C# and Java for the time being. Homepage with some older demos.

5 回复I'm still just a noob learning the basics of programming at the moment, although I must say I'm pretty handy with Visual Basic.

7 回复This quarter I'm in two Programming Classes, Concurrency and Game Programming. Should be very exciting, first game I have to create is a basic 2D game in Gamemaker, mostly to study the different features that Gamemaker has to offer to give us an idea of what we might want to implement in our second project which is much more code heavy and is in Python. I've come up with some good ideas so far, and I'm excited to go all out for this class.
