But it IS a social website. This site now functions a lot more like your real life social interactions. Instead of being forced to read/hear whoever is shouting the loudest and the most, you get to choose who you hang out with, who you listen to, and what topics you want to talk about. And if you want to expand your horizons, you're always free to drink from the firehose of the main forum feed. Personally, I think it's a great system thus far -- clearly not without its kinks, but I'm enjoying it.
