Now, I may not be the best at giving advice for what the game needs to really strive and gain some of it's player's lost good graces.
I mean, let's be real.
The sunsetting, the FOMO, the constant Nerf to player builds that give the game more of an exciting appeal, and the lazy armor sets for free vs some of the more 'developed' sets in the store. And the Microtransactions that only feel like a minus instead of a plus.
Now we have stolen art and no real improvements to the game that are seen as a big win. What I want to suggest will definitely not reach anyone from Bungie, because they don't listen to us, and they never will. No matter how much we beg, or scream, or cry. No, they ignore until we fight back, but even then, they do the bare F'ing minimum.
So, here is my solution to gaining that good faith back. First off, the Fomo needs to be taken out the back, and shot. I get that there are a -blam!- ton of items, but Bungie is sitting on a mountain of content that can make them money and what do they do with it? Throw it the F'K away like last night's takeout, not knowing that next day leftover's is actually better.
Bringing back old Battle Passes, be it at a discount, and removing useless items like resources and weapons, leaving only the cosmetics would be a massive win, and not for a limited time. No, permanently!
Giving us a way to access old content that has just evaporated into the F'ing wind would be a massive bonus, especially for those who only hunt for cosmetics, like I do.
As for everything else that they have done? IDK, but please stop all the FOMO, ffs.

1 回复If they bring back old content, even just cosmetics it will be for silver. It won’t be in good faith or to make the player population happy. It will be for the in game store only.

6 回复由THEREALLONEWOLFx编辑: 5/17/2025 8:16:00 AMThe next expansion is bringing sunsetting to our gear, weapons, etc. Bungie does not care about the player only the metrics of how many of us log on each week! This is why time gating is so prevalent in this game! They love farming player numbers! You would think they'd learn by now you know making your game fun to play would keep players coming back...

3 回复Unfortunately plenty of these suggestions have basically been a thing since as long as you can think of. Bungie can absolutely do each of these things - they simply do not wish to because upper management is a joke. A perfect example is weapon infusion being possible for any weapon, even sunset ones. At one point they said it wasn't possible/powercrept or something but clearly it was just a value they can adjust since they did in fact allow anything to be brought up to current light. Another is the content vault. Ironically, this has come around to bite them in the rear with the lawsuit - the Red War, Curse of Osiris and Warmind's content removal is literally at their detriment now. However, you'd be a fool to think this content is *truly* gone. The excuse they've used is that essentially, since it's running an older version of Tiger, it's incompatible with the current. This is true, but updating it is not impossible and if you want proof of that - About half of Forsaken is still present in the game and that was updated to keep it in. The main update I believe they're referring to is the lighting update released with Beyond Light alongside the usual fixes and such. Another excuse they've used is the sheer size of the game if they were to bring back said content. I really just don't get this one - some games push much over what Destiny has size wise. -blam- was heavily modified to Tiger specifically for Destiny's use so I doubt it's an engine limitation either. I don't think people care about all the planet's patrol zones returning, but I absolutely think the Strikes, Crucible and Gambit maps, Raids, Raid Lairs, should return.

Cosmetics? Is that what i understand you think would safe some grace? Cosmetics are inconsequential if the rest of the game is slog fest that is boring and unrewarding. Meaningful content. Used to be you got weeks of missions each season, and each week was more than a dozen steps that were NOT flying back and forth. They need to drop their woke agenda and just design a fun engaging experience for ALL players. If you want the player backs, then there is your answer, a Fun, Engaging, and Rewarding play experience. Cosmetics will always take a back seat to making a good game.
