Imo not every strike needs to be the new hardest strike. It’s ok to have an easy strike once and awhile.

My point still stands with the Gm. We can have an easy gm every once in a while. Not every new gm needs to be the new hardest gm. Sometimes it’s fun to just run through a gm and farm it for loot. Barely anyone wants to farm lightblade or Liminality because they’re time consuming and you’re really likely to wipe especially if you run LFG. I’m not saying every gm needs to be incredibly easy just that it’s ok if not all 8 gms are incredibly difficult. Also, bungie doesn’t make gms difficult bungie makes them tedious. Massive boss health pools, loads of yellow bars, champs, ect.

I'd agree that having a GM in rotation that you can farm is nice. But from where I'm sitting, if they aren't trying to push out the next hardest GM, there won't be any hard gms. Lightblade and Liminality - as an example - have become significantly easier as they've aged and we've grown stronger. I feel like a balance of difficulty can only be achieved if at the very least, the newest gm is the hardest one, and let age make it easier.

Pushing for harder strikes is what the expansion strikes generally do. If you constantly have every Gm one upping the previous Gm in terms of difficulty you’re eventually gonna have players stop playing because it’s no longer worth the time because the potatoes on LFG are bad. Bungie also tends to trend in the direction of BS difficulty rather than actual difficulty: one shot enemies, massive health pools, random insta wipe mechanics and such.

Sure, it would be the inverse of powercreep. An unsustainable ends. I suppose I'm just asking for SOMETHING a little stronger. Lake of Shadows is a harder GM experience than this. And bungie have shown they can do actual difficulty rather than BS difficulty, because they've already done such in the GM version of Liminality. Maybe this strike doesn't need that much added, maybe something like increasing the rate which you gain / loose stacks of terror. (Just a spitball example)
