May 6th for Rite of the Nine? Five weeks into the season??
Why does Bungie do this with their post-expansion releases? Time-gating when the content is extremely thin already never feels good.
The post-expansion content would feel so much more satisfying and fat if it was just dropped in a lump like the expansions.

It's also an event. Your last statement has also been proven false. It's the reason why they went back to time gating the weekly story quest due to the last episode not having it and having a significant drop off in players due to there being nothing to come back for every week and people complaining about how quickly they got through all of it.
