Yeah I agree, It is really annoying automatically launching into a mission after selecting a character just because a new expansion or season was released especially when it does it for all 3 characters.

I don't mind if they put a Notification before it. Choose your Character then Pops the Notification. You'll be prompt to go do or watch next missions or Video storyline. Do you accept or not. X accept. O Dismiss. One friend was pissed off since he has only one Character and didn't see the cutscene cuz after choosing is Character after loading he went get something to drink. He came back to witness the last 4 second of a cutscene. Close the game. Restarted it Hoping to have the cutscene again but Nope. Gone. Had to load my 2nd account and Shareplay my feed for him to see it.

In this instance, you really didn't miss much (other than maybe one of the 4 lines of dialogue they actually managed to get recorded for Xivu). Guardian enters a location they weren't previously shown entering, for 'reasons'. Xivu turns up, spouts a bit of nonsense while Guardian does the 'Whuuuuh?' dance Xivu throws big swords at Guardian, every one of which misses. Booted to orbit while drifter mumbles something about Xivu having broken the Dreadnaught. The end. Thank you for watching our school play. And all to reveal a 'new' location that knowing Bungo's shitty RNG you won't see in the rotation for another three weeks.

But it’s so awesome they can’t risk anyone missing out on it. 😂 I barely progress the seasonal/episodic story so thankfully my characters get left out of this kind of thing after the season/episode opener.

This so much, a lot of times I'm busy trying to rearrange stuff in DIM to make space and the like before getting started so it's a pain in the -blam!- when you get thrown in head first without any warning.

I agree 100% …. i’ve been yapping about this since Season of the Deep, after getting forced onto Titan several times… I really only do seasonal stuff on one main character, but whenever I swap to the others, I get forced onto Titan, or Nessus, or the Nether, or wherever the new season destination is. I dont mind a quick cut-scene or pop-up saying “we have new intel on blahblah situation, go see xyz vendor for more info”… but having a main character “killed off” immediately upon logging in was kinda absurd.
