Some users were able to resolve this infinite loading screen issue by configuring their audio settings in windows. Please try the following steps:

I have followed the steps you mentioned. Unfortunately, this has not led to a solution. The “Connecting” screen is still visible for up to 20 minutes before the game actually starts.
