Your idea for Hatchling sort of defeats the purpose of it.
Each element gets specific perks and Hatchling is one of the strand perks, just like scorch is a solar only perk or voltshot is an arc only perk.
I do think it should be buffed though. Like stronger enemies spawn more threadling.
it may be a reach, but I don't see how it specifically relates to strand. What does the name or implication of "Hatchling" have to do with a ball of metaphysical threads or the idea of the subclass as a whole?
Imo, if they want to keep the identity of strand weapon perks, they should make something else that unravels or suspends.
Overall, this is not a very serious thing, I'm just throwing out ideas
