Messenger is just as great as Elsie’s but it’s harder to get. Plus, you can run conditional or the new crafted kinetic shotgun in the primary slot. I could see high impacts getting a slight forgiveness nerf anyway but that already happened when then rebalanced weapon damage and health.
I think Elsie’s is the Igneous of pulse rifles. It will always be a top choice with high usage. It’s a stat monster and was so easy to get. Red Death is the Ace of Spades and Messenger is Rose. They’re all top choices hopefully other weapon types will get brought up before nerfs. Generally think weapon balance is ok.

Lower zoom is not better for some people, it’s a subjective thing. Higher zoom actually offers less visual reticle bounce (like a mini zen) and is better if you’re trying to push the range. I think Elsie’s is the best to use on maps that are closer due to its handling and lower zoom but messenger is better on liner maps.

I agree with 99% of this but I am of the opinion that Zen/Head on Elsie’s puts it a little over the top in the ease of use department. *Correct me if I’m wrong but 360 pulses didn’t get an ease of use nerf when they rebalanced health since they are still 5c1b vs T6 Res and lower. I think they’ve been like that even before that change

I believe the resilience break point on headseeker got shifted but I’m not certain. Zen is a great perk but messenger has rapid hit (which the stability bump offers more than zen in some ways) access to adept mods and will be able to get enhanced perks. Elsie’s, Messenger and Red Death (that had a pseudo headseeker/ease of use perk) will all be on the chopping block at some point. We can disagree on where they sit but they’re by far better than any others and in their own bracket.
