They killed off Lakshmi in Season of the Splicer. She was spreading hate messages and encouraging the people of the city to be violent towards the Fallen seeking shelter. A vex invasion happened and she died off screen but her body was found during a mission. Other factions noped on out of there.

They turned out to be the Fascist World Cult and that didn’t work out well haha.

lol they basically wrote them out of the story a long time ago. LAkshmi was very much against the collaboration with the Fallen/Eliksni and was subsequently killed in action when her plan failed. Dead orbit and New Monarchy fell off the face of the planet at the same time. We also havn' had a speaker since Vanilla d2.. so nobody can speak to the Traveller now. Bets that Cayde may end up as the speaker with his return? By the way, i'm still with Lakshmi on this one. You don't just go giving your enemy access to all your sensitive info and your last bastion of humanity just because a few have defected. In fact, that just tells you they are untrustworthy if they were willing to turn on their species.

The factions have been disbanded from the Last city since the events of the Endless Night happened. We initally asked Mithrax and his House of Light (peaceful eliksni who want no war) to help us with a huge vex simulation that blocked the city into a endless night in order to drain our energy reserves. Lakshmin was mistrustful of these eliksni because either the fact that we've been in war with the fallen for denturies now, either because of visions caused by vex tech that FWC used to predict future events. After wiping the source of the simulation, witch was a taken vex mind controlled by Savathûn, FWC wanted the eliksni out of the city because "they made no progress to help with the vex problem" and convinced New monarchy to try a coup against the Vanguard, they caused a vex invasion inside city walls and Lakshmin got killed off. FWC shattered compleatly and New Monarchy and Dead orbit have departured from the solar system, wanna place some bet how long they're gonna last with a "fleet" but no technology to terraform planets?
