A new engine was probably lowkey being developed when Beyond Light came out..my assumption but The Final Shape will either be the new Engine or the last piece for the next Engine….I would like the next engine to be named Thomas.

Bungo took the lazy route when making D2 and opted to just use the same engine from D1 instead of developing a dedicated one for D2. Now they also foolishly decided not to make a D3 so we’re just stuck with an inefficient game engine
