All the controversy regarding Divinity made me realize something when i was discussing it with friends. I feel like trace rifles, even though they got buffed, are in such a weird spot. Theyre not awful but its like "why would the average destiny player go out of their way to use a trace rifle". The problem with trace rifle is just what i just said in the previous statement. Trace rifles need a new unique identity to give them purpose. A suggestion to throw out as an idea is, possibly a perk/trait with certain elemental trace rifles to apply the new elemental debuffs. ex: Scorch, Jolt, Weakness/volatile (I know, scorch maybe seem op to cause constant ignitions but im sure there can be some balancing, it sounds pretty cool for that "power fantasy" I just wanted to throw an idea out there to maybe get the ball rolling on potential updates for trace rifles.
