Hi all. I've been having issues that I've never experienced before in Destiny 2 and I'm wondering if any of you have experienced the same. A couple of days ago, I was running some bounties on the Moon and all was peachy keen. I was online for about two hours without any issues. I went back to the Tower for a little and when I tried heading back to the Moon the game froze on me. No biggie, I thought, I'll just restart the game. The game wouldn't close. I couldn't alt+F4, I couldn't access the task manager, nothing. I had to force a hard reset on the PC. I tried to get back into the game following the reset, and the game was now freezing right before the character select screen. Same thing: couldn't tab out, couldn't alt+F4, no access to any other part of the PC, just another hard reset. I've since verified files through steam (all files successfully validated), I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. No dice. I've uninstalled and reinstalled on a different drive. Still no dice. I've made sure to add all executables and possible dependencies to my antivirus software exception list, and still nothing. Today I tried to log in again and while I managed to make it past the character select screen the game froze on me again during transit to the Tower. I'm at my wit's end. Does anyone have an idea what a possible fix could be? Or is this utterly out of my control and more of a "sit and wait" scenario? Thanks in advance. ♥
