I was under the impression that if you bought an exotic engram from xur you would get an exotic you havent gotten, well theres 3 i dont have my warlock and have gotten one everytime xur comes and still get the same exotics i already have, same thing with the legendary lost sector, ive grinded those things before to not get whatever exotic was on offer

No, they added the lost sector crap a few seasons back and locked the new exotic armor pieces behind them. So you have to play through them repeatedly till it drops and then you can farm stat rolls from xur or wherever. It's extremely mundane and tacky on the devs part because they are too lazy to make an alternative. Plus, overload champions are still broke and Bungo refuses to actually do their job and fix the stun on an enemy that's been a problem since their introduction.
